About Us:
SchoolDESX LLC, (formerly Sooner Micro Systems inc.) is a 20 year old company formed to provide technical schools with a student information database solution. SchoolDESX currently has installations across the U.S. as well as in China and the U.S. commonwealth of Saipan.
Previous to the new ownership structure, Sooner Micro Systems Inc. was owned wholly by Larry Poor. Mr. Poor has an engineering degree from Oklahoma State University. He formed Sooner in 1982 as the result of a contract awarded him to develop a student information system for Northeast Technology Center located in Pryor, Oklahoma.
From the initial success of this product, a company was born as other schools quickly recognized the value of the system and other sales followed. Sooner went on to produce five further releases and has enjoyed strong customer retention as schools continue to rely on the quality applications from the company.
In 2000, Sooner began development of the newest release now known as SchoolDESX. Due to the advancements in technology and hardware, it was important this release be much more robust than past products. To this end, additional development expertise was brought in to build the school information system of the future. This product was over 3 years in development, and now defines the standard by which other information systems are measured in the career and technology education sector. This product bears the company name of SchoolDESX.
SchoolDESX is one of the premier school administrative software providers to the career and technology sector of the educational industry. Its applications help schools smoothly complete hundreds of administrative tasks required to manage students, classes, and facilities. Its modules enable highly productive administration of student demographics, attendance, grading, medical records, discipline, scheduling, Academic history, Transcripts, facilities and assets, as well as custom reporting of the same.
